Another fact to support my contention that internet traffic from the East coast to the West coast is funneled through a 1200 baud modem in Kansas City.
Arrived in Auburn at 830 local time to meet with Hr to sign some papers.
I played basketball last night for the first time in several years. Taylor sprained his ankle, which was almost enough for me to go home right then. Later in the evening my back started to hurt a little but I didn’t think too much of it. After I got home and sat down for a few minutes it tightened up and is quite sore today.
I was talking to Bethany about it and she reminded me that I can’t play like I did when I was younger. In the middle of the conversation, Emma (age 4) said “you’re not a kid!”
Yesterday morning, Mom & Dean both called and said Dad would go home later in the day. After he got home, I received an email from Pops with the subject “I’ve escaped.” Apparently he’s glad to be home. 🙂
In a hurry so this will be “concise.”
He went to the Dr. yesterday morning for a checkup. Dr. said he has a large clot in his left ventricle. Dad goes home cuz he has stuff to do. Not sure what happened next, but he eventually made it to the hospital. Treating him with a blood thinner or something to dissolve the clot slowly and reduce the risk of breaking it up. Ejection fraction is 20%. I’m worried. Family and I are headed over to visit for the weekend.
Late in the day on a recent Saturday, I kissed Benjamin on the cheek. He immediately noticed that I had not shaved because apparently the kiss was painful and he said “you bite [bit] me!!” When I assured him that I had not he again said “you bite me!”
Buzz Lightyear is currently Benjamin’s favorite character. When I first learned about Buzz, he called him “Buzz My Ear.”
Samuel calls Grandma Christine “AbbyDee.”
Daddy, consoling Benjamin (who just turned 3) after a disagreement with Samuel: “You are cute!”
Benjamin: “No I’m not. I’m sad!”
After a minute or so, Benjamin says: “I’m lonely.”
Daddy asks, “What does lonely mean?”
Benjamin: “It means I’m tired.”
